Dahlia Tuber Orders

Cottage Blooms dahlia tubers are typically sold and shipped in the spring, at just the right time for planting in your zone. We take great care in providing tubers that are disease free, true to their name, and have at least one viable eye at shipping to help ensure your success. Tubers are sold as single tubers, not as clumps. The tubers are bagged by variety, come with a label, planting instructions, and are packed in wood shavings.

We do offer combined shipping to save you money when you place multiple tuber orders prior to March 5, 2024. All orders will be combined and extra shipping charges will be refunded when your orders are processed for shipping.

Note: Dahlia tubers come in all shapes and sizes, and it is important to realize that the tuber size is not an indication of the actual plant produced.  We will send quality viable tubers, but they do come in all shapes and sizes.

All orders should be inspected upon arrival. Except for events which are beyond our control, we stand behind our tubers and are confident in your success, with reasonable care. Please contact us at cottageblooms@hotmail.com if you have any concerns. 

Orders

Important! Dahlia tubers sell out quickly. Items that disappear from your cart prior to completing the order are often the result of other purchasers grabbing the limited inventory. Tubers in your cart do not become yours until that sale is completed. Once an order is placed, it cannot be amended.

All orders are subject to availability, and in the event we are unable to complete your order, you will be given the option to receive a refund or replacement. 

Orders are shipped via USPS Priority mail. Orders can only be shipped within the Continental US and tubers will be shipped to match the best time for planting in your zone.

If you prefer to pick up your dahlia tubers at my farm in Palmyra, VA, contact me after April 10th to make the necessary arrangements.

Note: If other products are purchased in conjunction with dahlia tubers to combine/save on shipping, the other product(s) will be shipped at the same time as the tuber(s). If you desire to have the other products shipped separate from the tuber(s), you will need to make two separate orders to create split shipping. Typically, products other than tubers are shipped within two business days of receiving your order.

Bouquet Subscriptions Terms & Conditions

By purchasing a Cottage Blooms Bouquet Subscription, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Payment for Bouquet Subscriptions

Payment for a Bouquet Subscription secures your place to receive a weekly flower bouquet for the stated duration of the season. 

Once a bouquet subscription is purchased, no refunds, either full or partial, are allowed for a later cancellation. Subscription holders are allowed to sale or gift their subscription to another party. Cottage Blooms must be notified of a change in party at least 24 hours prior to the next scheduled delivery.

Bouquet Subscription Start Dates

While every attempt is made to begin subscriptions on the stated date, seasonal variations could necessitate a change in the starting date or in product availability. Cottage Blooms will handle any subscription communications via email.

Bouquet Subscription Delivery

Bouquet subscriptions will be delivered weekly to the pick-up location. Important: If you will be unable to pick up your subscription for any reason, it is your responsibility to find a substitute to collect your subscription. Subscriptions not picked up by the end of the designated day are forfeited and become the property of Cottage Blooms. No credit or refund will be given for any subscriptions not picked up. 

Pick-up time parameters are set for the entirety of the bouquet subscription season. 

Subscription holders agree to not arrive early or late at the pick-up location expecting your share to be available. Also realize that the pick-up location is a cooperating place of business. The staff at that location are unable to help with bouquet subscription questions and can not be interrupted or distracted in the course of their normal duties.

I understand that I am responsible for bringing my own container for transporting my own bouquet. All plastic buckets are to be left at the bouquet subscription pick-up location.

Sharing Bouquet Subscriptions

Splitting of bouquet subscriptions with other individuals are allowed. Any arrangements of this type are left up to the person placing the subscription order.

VACATION

If you are out of town, you remain responsible for sending a proxy to collect your subscription.

SHARING THE RISK

Bouquet subscriptions share in the bounty and the risks of farming. Risks such as poor harvests due to unfavorable weather or pests, or the total loss of all crops due to natural disasters such as fire, flood, high winds or drought are possible. In the case of very rare events such as these, Cottage Blooms will be in touch to provide an equitable solution.

COMMUNICATION

Email is the preferred communication method of Cottage Blooms. Bouquet subscription holders are strongly encouraged to add cottageblooms@hotmail.com to your email contacts list.

Please notify us immediately if you do not receive an e-mail receipt of your payment or if you fail to receive an email update of your bouquet subscription progress.
